Puppy Head-Start - Private Lessons

• K-9 Transitions provided the perfect training start for my puppy and me.  Joyce's clear instruction and warm mentoring spirit I saw fast improvement in my puppy's behavior, and also felt more confident in my abilities as a dog owner.  Joyce was always quick to offer helpful guidance with new commands, and provide encouragement when my puppy's behaviors proved challenging.  Flicka and I both look forward to working with Joyce in the future! ~ Catlin ~
  

• My husband and I recently adopted a puppy and were a bit frazzled by how much she was bitting/nipping at everything. We wanted a trainer who could train us as much as our little pup. Joyce was AWESOME! She brought us information, examples of products, role played how to train (tricks, methods for behavior modification, etc.), and answered all of our questions. She has been a wonderful resource! Not only was the training great, but she has kept herself open to our questions via email. It didn't seem like a "pre-packaged" training.  Very one-on-one, general yet specific to our issues. Best of all, she gave us confidence in ourselves (which then is mirrored on our little puppy). ~ Kenya ~

Adult Private Lessons

• Muddy was out of control, had terrible indoor manners and we were having trouble coming up with a way for us to ride our bike and have her come along.  But with Joyce's creative ideas and 6 weeks of in home lessons Muddy dramtically improved!

• Joyce is wonderful.  She is so patient.  My dog who is very nervous around newcomers, loved her.  She taught me several techniques I've used that work extremely well.  She gives you printouts with all the steps so you can practice yourself and use them for reference.  I would definitely work with her if you have an opportunity.  You will get your money's worth. ~ Peggy ~

• We adopted a 2 year old dog and wanted to work on some obedience skills and advice for socializing our dog (she didn't really like other dogs when we got her). Joyce came to our house and did one on one sessions with our pooch. Our dog got really excited when the "treat lady" came to the door! The process of training was very straight forward. Joyce had plenty of hand outs describing each behavior. She would demonstrate and then I would get a chance to try each command with Joyce there to offer suggestions. We now have a well behaved dog who is doing much better with the other dogs she meets in the park. I would recommend K9 Transition Dog Training to anyone! ~ Colleen ~

• We adopted 2 rescue dogs from Austin Dog Rescue and they needed some manners.  Joyce came to our house and taught us how to control them at the front door, make them walk next to you instead of pulling you, and taught us how to deal with their high energy.  Our leash walks are so much easier now and they play together nicely and they are becoming more and more social with other dogs at the park.  Joyce is very patient and knowledgeable! ~ Melinda ~
