I adopted my pup from Joyce and took beginning puppy classes with her as well. I continue to board my pup with Joyce whenever I leave town and I never have to worry about it. My dog gets super excited to see Joyce every time we drop her off and my dog gets the 5-star hotel treatment - her own little room blocked off from the rest of the house. Joyce also has several well behaved dogs of her own that I know my dog loves to play with so I don't have to worry about her being bored during the boarding stay. I'll definitely be boarding my dog with Joyce every time I go out of town for an extended period of time. ~ Keith ~

We tried a boarding our dog with a couple kennels in town, but she always seemed a bit shell shocked when we picked her back up. Then we discovered Joyce at K9 Transitions. Now our dog begs us to go away so that she can stay with Joyce and Eddie. It really is a home away from home for her. We also have had Joyce work on desensitizing our relatively nervous/high energy dog to the presence of other dogs. It's had a noticeable difference in her behavior. We're big fans. ~ Molly ~

Buddy, our Austin Dog Rescue pooch, was quite at home when he stayed with Joyce and Eddie for our trip, and it was clear that he was a happy boy while there. Obviously, he was treated as family and got the love he deserved while we were out of town. ~ Nancy ~

Leaving your dogs with Joyce at K9 Transition is like leaving them at home with your most trusted friend in the world. Our two dogs spent 2 weeks there. They're older and calm and tend to get frazzled with all the barking and doings in a kennel environment. Joyce has a room up front in her house where the dogs were kept separately to enjoy their peace and quiet. There's a gate there so she can still keep an eye on them and they can see her as well. She has crates up there with comfy beds for them to lounge on and they have a private yard up front where they can hang out some. She feeds them whatever food you bring along to your exact specifications. I didn't plan well enough for the long haul and she even went so far as to go get the food they required - even my female dog's prescription food which she had to lobby very hard for at the pet store since the prescription had expired! Joyce and her husband are both very experienced dog people and I felt absolutely no guilt in leaving my dogs with them since I knew it was the best care possible aside from my own.
